For supplier quality engineers

Every supplier 8D chased until it's in, and the SCAR log ready for the auditor

SCAR Chase emails each supplier before and after every 8D due date, takes their response on a no-login upload page, and keeps the log and each supplier's history, so you stop chasing by hand.

How it works

Issue the SCAR once. The chasing, the log and the audit pack are done for you.

Upload your supplier list, then issue each SCAR from a form or import the open ones you already track in a spreadsheet. Every 8D section gets its own due date from your rule, and every supplier gets one plain email a day listing what it owes.

Issue a SCAR from a form, or import your open SCAR list from a CSV, and see every late 8D section at once

Nothing goes to a supplier from an imported list until you press Start chasing. Due dates come from your rule per priority: by default D3 in 1 day, D4 in 10, D5/D6 in 20, D7 in 30.

Reminds the supplier before and on each 8D due date, then every 3 days while it is late, and copies their manager if it stays late

At 8:00 on weekdays on your clock, signed with your company's name, with replies going to your quality inbox. After the last reminder the section is marked stalled for you to call.

Suppliers upload the 8D response on a no-login page, and you review what was read from it before a section counts as accepted

The text found for each section is shown beside the file. Accept it as it is, edit it, or send it back with a note the supplier sees in its next reminder.

One SCAR log with due dates, days late and closed dates, a history per supplier, and a ZIP audit pack for any SCAR

The log exports as CSV. The audit pack holds the SCAR form, every file the supplier sent and a dated timeline of each request, reminder, upload and acceptance.
What your supplier sees

One plain email, one link, no login

The supplier opens its own page, which lists only its open SCARs and the sections due. It uploads its 8D report and ticks the sections it answers, types an answer, or disputes the SCAR with a reason.

Questions quality engineers ask

Does my supplier need an account?

No. Each supplier gets a link that shows only its own open SCARs and the sections due. It uploads a PDF, Word, Excel or image file (up to 4 MB) or types an answer.

Can I try it before I subscribe?

Yes. The free sample takes your open SCAR list as a CSV, or uses a built-in one, and shows every late 8D section and the first reminder each supplier would get. It sends nothing to anyone.

Does it connect to our QMS or ERP?

No. SCARs and suppliers come in as CSV files and the log exports as CSV. There is no direct connection.

Does it read the 8D responses for me?

It reads PDF, Excel and image files and pulls out the text it finds for each 8D section, and you check it before the section counts as accepted. Word files and scanned PDFs with no text are kept for you to read yourself.

What if a supplier never answers?

After the last reminder the section is marked stalled, shown in red on your dashboard and listed in your Monday digest, so you know whom to call.

How many SCARs does $149 a month cover?

Up to 200 suppliers and 75 open SCARs at once, each with its D3, D4, D5/D6 and D7 sections. Closed SCARs stay in the log and do not count.

How long are the records kept?

While you subscribe, and for 13 months after a SCAR closes. If you cancel, everything is kept 30 days in case you come back, then deleted, and you get an email with the date. Download the audit packs you need before you cancel.
