Stop keying remittance advices against open invoices

Upload the customer's remittance PDF and your open-invoice export. Remit Reader reads each line, matches it to an invoice, flags the short-pays and gives you a CSV to apply the payment from.

A morning's remittances, applied from one file

Load your open-invoice export once a day. Drop in the remittances as they arrive. Check each one beside its PDF, approve it, and download the application file when the batch is done.

Reads text PDF, Excel and CSV remittances and matches every line to your open-invoice export

Invoice numbers are matched however the customer prints them ("INV-000123" is 123), one slipped digit is caught among that customer's invoices, and a line with no number matches by amount when only one invoice fits.

Flags short-pays with the amount and the customer's stated reason, plus overpays and invoices it can't find

An invoice already applied by another remittance is flagged too, and a number open at two customers waits for you to pick.

You review each extracted line before anything is exported

The PDF sits beside its lines. Edit, add or remove a line; if the lines do not add up to the printed total, it says so.

Download one CSV of applied lines per batch, and try one remittance free with no card

Lines a person must resolve go in a second file, never the first. Run the free remittance: sample files or your own.

The file you apply the payment from

One row per applied invoice line, in a fixed column order you can map once in your ERP's import or key from. No ERP-specific layout is promised and nothing is posted for you.

  • Customer ID and name as your own export has them, not as the payer printed them.
  • The open amount, the amount applied, the short-pay and any overpay left unapplied, on each line.
  • The customer's deduction reason carried through, word for word.
  • Scanned remittances are never guessed: you type their lines beside the preview, and the same matching runs.

Questions AR teams ask

Does it post payments into my accounting system?

No. It gives you a CSV with one row per applied invoice line, in a fixed column order, to import or key from, and a second file of the lines a person must resolve. There is no direct connection to your ERP.

Which systems does it work with?

Any system that exports open receivables as CSV or Excel. You map the columns once and it remembers them. Remit Reader does not write to any of them.

What about scanned remittances?

A scanned PDF has no text to read, so it goes to manual entry: you type its lines beside the preview. Text PDFs, Excel and CSV remittances are read automatically.

How are short-pays handled?

When a line pays less than the open amount, it is listed as a short-pay with the difference and any reason printed on the remittance. You decide what to do with it; Remit Reader does not write anything off.

Can I try it before paying?

Yes. The free run takes one remittance PDF and an open-invoice file, or sample files, and shows the result with a download. No card. Those files are deleted after 24 hours.

What happens to my files?

Paid accounts keep remittance files and extracted rows for 13 months, then they are deleted. Bank and routing details are stripped from the extracted text and lines; the original file is kept as uploaded. If you cancel, everything is kept 30 days in case you come back, then deleted.
