For HR at plants and warehouses with 50 to 500 hourly employees

Every employee's attendance points, rolled off on the right day

Log each occurrence once. Point Ledger keeps each employee's rolling balance, the date each point rolls off and the next discipline step current, and drafts the warning notice when a threshold is crossed.

Your points policy, kept by the calendar instead of by hand

Set your occurrence types, point values, rolling window and steps once. From then on, each occurrence is logged once and every balance, roll-off and step follows from it.

Upload your roster and past occurrences and see live balances and roll-off dates in minutes

CSV or Excel from your tracker spreadsheet or time clock export. You confirm the columns once; up to 500 employees and 5,000 occurrences a file.

Supervisors log occurrences on a no-login link; you approve them before they count

Each link shows only that supervisor's team and only adds. A new link stops the old one at once.

Balances recompute every night, so points that should have rolled off do

Each occurrence counts until its anniversary at the end of your window, worked out on your time zone. Month-end dates roll off on the last day of the shorter month.

A printable warning notice at each threshold, with every point's roll-off date

Drafted the day a balance first reaches a step, with your own wording. You deliver it and mark the date it was issued.

A notice that shows its arithmetic

Employees ask which points count and when they go. The notice lists every occurrence counted, its points and the day it rolls off, so the meeting is about attendance, not about the spreadsheet.

  • Points are kept in hundredths: half and quarter points add up exactly.
  • Protected leave is a flag that scores zero; no medical reason is ever stored.
  • A policy change applies from that day. Occurrences already logged keep the points they were given.
  • Every occurrence logged, approved or removed, and every notice issued, is kept with who did it.

Supervisors report it the day it happens

No accounts to set up and no app to install: each supervisor keeps a private link on their phone. Their entry waits in your Pending list until you approve it, change its type or mark it protected leave.

  • A link shows only that supervisor's employees and can only add.
  • Replace or turn off a link at any time; links stop when a subscription ends.
  • A weekly email to you lists who needs a notice, points rolling off in the next 14 days and entries waiting for approval.

One price for up to 500 employees

The attendance add-ons sold through payroll marketplaces list a $299 starting price and a 200-employee minimum. Point Ledger costs about a quarter of that, with no tiers by headcount.

  • Works from the spreadsheet or export you already keep, CSV or Excel
  • Try the real engine first on the sample plant or your own log, no sign-up
  • Cancel any time; export everything as CSV, and your data is kept 30 days in case you come back

Questions HR managers ask

Can I try it before paying?

Yes. The free first run on the site takes a CSV of occurrences, or the built-in sample, and shows each employee's balance, roll-off dates and discipline step with your point values and thresholds. No sign-up is needed.

How do I get my current records in?

Upload your roster and your occurrence history as CSV or Excel. You confirm the column mapping once and it is remembered. Balances and roll-offs compute as soon as the history is in.

Can I set my own point values and thresholds?

Yes: occurrence types and points, the rolling window in months, and the points at which each step applies, with your own notice wording per step. One policy per account.

How do supervisors report an occurrence?

Each supervisor gets a private link, no login, that shows only their employees and lets them add an occurrence. It counts once you approve it.

How are protected leave absences handled?

You tick a protected-leave box on an occurrence and it scores zero and is listed separately. Only that flag is stored, never medical details. The decision is yours; Point Ledger gives no legal advice.

Does it send notices to employees?

No. It drafts the notice and records the date you mark it issued; you deliver it. Apart from sign-in and account emails, the only email it sends is a weekly summary to you.

Does it connect to our time clock or HR system?

No. It works from CSV and Excel files and the entries you or your supervisors make, so there is nothing to connect and no HR system login to share.

What happens if I cancel?

Export your roster, occurrences and issued notices as CSV first. After the subscription ends your data is kept 30 days in case you come back, then deleted, and supervisors' links stop at once.
